In overland services, Turkey's unchanging preference in the transportation and transport fields, concrete roads have started to be preferred more and more due to the repair and maintenance costs that rapidly decreased during the recent years. Last of all, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality started the construction of concrete roads. Concerning the concrete roads, Yavuz Işık, President of the Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association, said, “Utilization of concrete for more resisting and longer roads and the roads that do not require repair and maintenance for many years must be popularized.”
