The global economy is entering a new era marked by multiple structural transformations taking place simultaneously, going far beyond the conventional economic cycles of recent years.

Wars, energy security concerns, shifts in trade policies, rising protectionism, the restructuring of supply chains, and rapid technological transformation are directly affecting not only countries’ economic policies but also their investment decisions.

The Turkish economy grew by 2.3% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026. Construction output declined by 6% year-on-year in June.

For a healthy investment environment to take shape in the construction sector, not only demand but also costs and financing conditions need to become more predictable.

Considering Türkiye’s earthquake risk, the need for urban transformation, population growth, urbanisation and infrastructure requirements, the construction sector will remain one of the key sectors of the Turkish economy in the years ahead.

The construction and ready-mixed concrete sectors will continue to play a vital role in this transformation and remain key building blocks of Türkiye’s sustainable development.
