Organized by Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association (THBB) in honour of Prof. Dr. Süheyl Akman, the ‘‘Beton 2013 Ready Mixed Concrete Congress” was held between 21-23 February 2013 in Istanbul. Held in Istanbul Fair Centre, Hall 11, in Yeşilköy, the Beton 2013 Ready Mixed Concrete Congress, was organized in honour of Prof. Dr. Süheyl Akman who provided valuable contributions to the ready mixed concrete sector with his academic works he so far conducted and his congress organizations, books, and essays. The Congress where 19 Invited Papers, 41 Research Papers, totalling to 60 Papers, were presented was attended by 544 persons. In parallel to the congress, seminars and panels were held as well.

   

Latest Developments in Technology were Exhibited in Beton 2013 Fair


Organized by Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association (THBB) and Kalite Fuarcılık ‘Beton 2013 Concrete, Aggregate, Construction Technologies and Equipment Exhibition brought together the ready mixed concrete, aggregate, and construction sectors between 21-24 October 2013 in Istanbul. The Fair that brought together the domestic and international sector members in Istanbul Fair Centre, Hall 9-10, was participated by 81 firms that provide services, machinery, and equipment to the ready mixed concrete, aggregate, and construction sectors. The Fair brought together many firms from the construction sector, the locomotive of economy, the ready mixed concrete sector, one of its most fundamental subsectors, and respective sectors under the same roof. The Fair, the pride of the sector thanks to its success, was visited by total 15 thousand 862 people constituted primarily by the firm owners, top executives, professionals, and university students active in the ready mixed concrete, aggregate, and construction sectors. The Fair held on total 9 thousand meters square area, whose 8 thousand meters square is covered and 1 thousand meters square is open area, was also participated by many professional visitors from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East as in the previous years.
