Dear members and esteemed stakeholders of our sector.
We continue our work intensively as the representative of the ready mixed concrete sector, which is the most basic branch of construction.
We held the General Assembly Meeting of our Association, one of the most important sectoral organizations of our country and our sector, in April. During our General Assembly, together with our esteemed members, we evaluated the year 2024 and discussed the activities we will carry out in 2025. Following our General Assembly Meeting, I was re-elected as President once again. I would like to thank all our members who exhibited this trust. Together with our new Board of Directors, we will continue to undersign beneficial works for our Association and our sector and represent our Association and our sector in the best possible way both domestically and internationally in the forthcoming period. On this occasion, I sincerely congratulate the members of our Association, including all the presidents, board members, and employees, who have put in great efforts for our sector.
We announced our Ready Mixed Concrete Sector Report, which comprehensively analyzes our sector that significantly contributes to our country's economy, specifically for 2024. Our report highlighted the aspects of our expectations for the year 2025 that would ensure sustainable growth despite economic fluctuations. Increasing use of eco-friendly concrete, digitalization and integration of smart technologies, energy efficiency, and circular economy are among the topics standing out in the sector's future roadmap. According to the 2023 data of the ready mixed concrete sector, our report shows that the sector is very important for the Turkish economy and construction sector, with a turnover approaching 200 billion Turkish liras, an employment volume exceeding 45 thousand, and an annual production of 119 million cubic meters, and revealed that Türkiye maintains its position as a leading country in Europe in ready mixed concrete production.
