We are proud of having held successfully the 10th of the Beton Exhibitions in Izmir through the support of our members and all the institutions and organizations relating to the ready mixed concrete sector on April 25-28, 2018. We have been organizing the ready mixed concrete exhibitions, very important conventions regarding the vision of our sector and determination of its road map, for years. We are working to make sure that our exhibitions become a platform where the ready mixed concrete sector and respective sectors come together. Accordingly, we created a special seminar schedule within the scope of the exhibition. We conducted a comprehensive promotion work prior to our exhibition.
We inaugurated our Exhibition and our Seminars through the ceremonies we held at Fuarİzmir on April 25, 2018. The interest in our Exhibition we held for the tenth time this year was intense, just like in the other years. Our Exhibition where 120 brands were showcased welcomed three thousand visitors for four days. We were also content seeing that the Exhibition participants departed the Exhibition in Izmir happily.
As in the previous years, we held THBB Seminars in our Exhibition. In the THBB Seminars we held on 25-26 April 2018, the first two days of the Exhibition, presentations were made in the seminars specifically with regard to the issues of Permeable Concrete, Concrete and Sustainability, Çanakkale Bridge Concrete Applications and Yusufeli Dam and HPP Project Characteristics as well as Dam Embankment Mass Concrete Design under the heading of Concrete in Mega Projects, Roller Compacted Concrete Pavements, Complete Utilization of Recycling Water for Sustainable Concrete production, and Technology for Concrete Cooling with Liquid Nitrogen, which will provide contributions to the improvement of the sector. In our Exhibition, we also held an economy seminar within the scope of the THBB Seminars. Economist Prof. Dr. Emre Alkin gave a speech in the matters that concern economy, particularly Turkey’s economy as well as construction and ready mixed concrete sector. Organized under the Main Sponsorship of “Betonstar,” the THBB Seminars became the focus of the participants.
I wish to meet again in our Exhibition that we will hold in Istanbul in 2020.
