Dear members and valuable representatives of our sector… We continue our endeavors for our sector intensely. While continuing our current studies at our Building Materials Laboratory that is one of the most important laboratories in the world, our work on R&D and developing new experiments are ongoing as well. We developed a new durability experiment in our Laboratory in recent months. We undersigned an important achievement with the experiment we have developed titled "ASTM C1556: Identification of Visible Chloride Diffusion Coefficient via Bulk Diffusion of Cement Based Materials" Durability experiments are important for special concrete production resistant to environmental impacts and particularly for calculations of concrete service life. Thanks to it, it is possible to design concrete having a service life of more than 100 years. With the experiment method, tests can be conducted on samples taken from old structures and newly designed concrete ones.
