Yavuz Işık, President of European Ready Mixed Concrete Organization (ERMCO) and Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association, met with journalists in Ankara. Mentioning that Turkey is in the leading position of Europe when it comes to concrete production, Işık said, “In the European countries represented in ERMCO, 215 million cubic-meter ready mixed concrete is produced a year. Turkey is  producing 107 million cubic-meter concrete alone. Turkey that met ready mixed concrete 100 years after the European countries is presently in a leader position in concrete production today. Through our experience, we will work for the improvement of the ready mixed concrete sector in Europe, and of course in Turkey.”

Yavuz Işık, President of Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association, and new President of European Ready Mixed Concrete Organization (ERMCO), stated that Turkey is the number one producer of ready mixed concrete production in Europe and third in the world. Yavuz Işık who came together with journalists in Ankara said, “We will act as a president at ERMCO for the period of 3 years. In the subsequent process, we will keep close track of the agendas in Europe and bring the latest developments to our country, and we will try to find solutions to the problems of our sector by including them into the agenda of the institutions in Europe thanks to this assignment of us in ERMCO. This way, as Turkey, we will contribute to the development of the ready mixed concrete industry of our country while steering the direction of the European ready mixed concrete sector.”

Yavuz Işık stated that the  European concrete sector represented by ERMCO presently produces 215 million cubic meters  of concrete today while Turkey produces 107 million cubic-meter concrete by itself. Underlining that Turkey is one of the most important members of the Association, Işık said, “In ERMCO’s technical and strategic meetings, we will carry forward the duty of representation that we have performed  successfully so far by means of working together with the institutions that are active in the European ready mixed concrete sector and carrying out research activities and through THBB’s technical power and infrastructure.”
